The Short Version

Most people don't read the whole thing, so here it is in plain English. The full legal version is below.

We collect what we need to take your order, ship it, and support you name, address, email, and payment details (your card is processed securely by Shopify; we never see or store your full card number).
We use cookies and marketing tools to run ads and understand our traffic. You can opt out any time.
We only send you marketing emails or texts if you opt in never automatically, and never as a condition of buying something.
We do not sell your personal information to data brokers.
You can ask us what we have on you, fix it, delete it, or get a copy of it, any time, by emailing us below. We'll respond within 45 days, usually much sooner.
We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Who We Are

This policy applies to VolCrush Clothing LLC ("VolCrush," "we," "us," "our") and the store at volcrushclothing.com (the "Site"). We are the data controller for the personal information described here.

Information We Collect

Contact details name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number (if provided).
Payment information handled directly by Shopify's payment systems. We receive confirmation that payment succeeded and the last 4 digits of your card for your order record; we do not receive or store full card numbers.
Order and account information items purchased, order history, sizes/preferences you save, returns or exchanges.
Communications anything you send us via email, our contact form, or social media.
Device and usage information IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and how you interact with the Site, collected automatically through cookies and similar technology.
Marketing consent information whether and when you opted in to email or SMS marketing, so we can honor your preference.

We collect this directly from you (checkout, account creation, contacting us), automatically through the Site, and from service providers who help us run the Site (payment processing, shipping, analytics).

How We Use Your Information

Process and fulfill your orders, including shipping and customer service
Create and manage your account, if you make one
Send you transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, receipts) these aren't optional, since they're how you know your order is on the way
Send you marketing emails or texts, only if you've opted in (see below)
Run and measure advertising, understand site traffic, and improve the Site
Prevent fraud and keep the Site and checkout secure
Comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations

Marketing Communications Opt-In, Not Automatic

Email: We only add you to marketing emails if you check the sign-up box at checkout, use the newsletter form, or otherwise explicitly opt in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link click it and you're out immediately. Order-related emails (confirmations, shipping) will still be sent, since those aren't marketing.

SMS/Text: If you opt in to text messages at checkout or through a sign-up form, you consent to receive automated marketing texts from VolCrush at the number provided. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we honor it as an opt-out request automatically.

Who We Share Information With

We don't sell your personal information to data brokers. We do share it, only as needed, with:

Shopify our e-commerce platform, which hosts the Site and processes payments
Shipping carriers (e.g., USPS, UPS) to deliver your order
[Email/SMS platform, e.g. Klaviyo] if you've opted into marketing
[Ad platforms, e.g. Meta, Google, TikTok] for advertising, unless you've opted out
Law enforcement or regulators only when legally required
A future buyer of the business only if VolCrush is ever sold or merged, and only under the same privacy commitments

How Long We Keep Your Information

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

If you're in the UK or EEA, you additionally have the right to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting past processing.

We don't discriminate against you in any way for exercising these rights.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Email us at volcrushclothingllc@gmail.com with your request. We may ask for information to verify it's really you. We'll respond within 45 days, as required by law in practice, we aim for much sooner.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including relying on Shopify's PCI-compliant payment infrastructure. No system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee perfect security but we take it seriously and limit access to personal information to what's needed to run the business.

Data Breach Notification

If a breach occurs that compromises your personal information, we will notify affected customers and any required regulators without undue delay, consistent with applicable law.

Children's Privacy

VolCrush is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

International Data Transfers

If you're outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. Where required (e.g., for UK/EEA residents), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for that transfer.
